TdF Stage 1: Everything Has Changed!

The entire dynamic of the 2011 Tour de France changed today as heavy favorite Alberto Contador was caught in a late crash and lost 1:20 to Cadel Evans and Andy Schleck......and Chris Horner and Levi Leipheimer. Contador is the best bike racer of the current era, but has been caught out at times. He should have been near the front with the rest of the GC contenders when the peloton was split by the crash. His inattention to detail may have already cost him the Tour.
This race is going to be more fun than I thought.

Don't count Contador out yet, for some reason I think he's an asshole, don't know why, but he's driven and this is going to push him.

I agree on every point. He's going to have to attack like crazy, which will spice things up and, who knows, anything can happen to any of the leaders. I don't have too much confidence in Cadel Evans, either, as he tends to have that one critical bad day and there are a lot of days left in this race!
